Wordpress Developer needed

R3 Media and Design is a Welland multimedia company specializing in website design and creative for the music industry. We are looking for a computer programmer in the Niagara area to fulfill a short-term contract. This position is available immediately.

You will be working and gaining valuable experience working with the leaders in the Canadian music industry which include Canada's largest music conference, Canada's number 1 recording studio, Canada's biggest music festivals and other national campaigns. This position requires someone that can work independently with minimal instruction. This is a fast-paced environment. You must be a good organizer, eager to learn and truly enjoy what you do.

Duties include building OOP, PHP classes, maintaining and writing PHP, Javascript, JQuery, HTML and CSS on new and existing websites. Some websites are built using WordPress, others are built from scratch. You will need to be able to troubleshoot, plan, resolve and integrate. This position requires a lot of different skill sets and can be quite challenging. You will be required to do your own research on your own time. We're looking for someone that can hit the ground running.

This is a contract position starting with 30-40 hours a week and may lead to a full position. The weekly hours may also increase as you develop a keen sense for the companies and product we deliver.

Job Requirements (Skills, Qualifications):
The successful candidate must have the following skills or training.
CMS: You must have experience working with Wordpress themes and be able to write your own plugin.
Programming languages: PHP, OOP,Javascript,JQuery, HTML, XML, CSS,Codeigniter, HMVC
Database skills: MySQL (a must), phpMyAdmin (a must), SQL and knowledge of Filemaker is an asset.
Design skills (not mandatory): Adobe Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator
Other Software skills: PHP Editor, Dreamweaver, MSOffice environment
NOTE: Knowledge of Google Adwords and Analytics is a huge asset.
